WhispHealth

Whisp Health is a private digital health company operating in Uganda, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative follow-up and communication services. Whisp Health partners with hospitals and other healthcare entities to deliver personalized, automated voice notes in various local languages. These timely communications are scheduled based on doctor's prescriptions and service provider guidelines, targeting medication adherence, appointment reminders, and health campaigns.

 

The inspiration behind Whisp Health came from its founder's experience as a general medical practitioner, particularly in HIV, TB, Hypertension, and Diabetes. Many patients struggled with medication adherence, leading to poor health outcomes and contributing to antimicrobial drug resistance. Understanding the challenges that patients face in rural Uganda and knowing the lack of personalized support for medication, WhispHealth designed their product so that it would impact the lives of undeserved communities best: personalized, locally integrated, cost effective, digital but usable for any demographic.

 

Since February 2024, Whisp Health has impacted 3,764 individuals, delivering more than 100,000 medication alerts and 500 appointment alerts. Whisp Health serves 6 communities speaking diverse languages and has created employment opportunities for young female youth who serve as their facility agents in various regional hospitals.
